“This module aims to teach you how to: learn (self-directed), surface learning (memorisation of isolated facts): hacking, deep learning (interrelated concepts), includes interacting with others (lecturers, students, …)
develop software: fundamental programming concepts (e.g. events, procedures), how to combine these to solve problems… use Visual BASIC”
Visual Basic Maths Game
I was given a specification to produce a maths game in visual basic (vbscript) to help children learn the ‘times tables’.
ASP Garden Store
Following a very specific user specification from Mark Dixon, I had to produce an online shopping site using ASP. This featured a database of information (already provided) including products, clients and transactions which needed to be accessed by the site. The site needed to include various features such as a logon page, a list of items in the store and a shopping cart.
